Special Design Solutions To Fit Your Application

TECO Pneumatic and our factories welcome the challenge of making individual design solutions to a customer’s particular application. This runs from special manifolds, mounting valves on a PC Board with special circuits, mounting on a unique plate or all fittings and connectors assembled.

At times it is TECO performing all the design and assembling and on others it is our supplier partners stepping in to perform the job.

The single reason for a customer to have a full assembly made is to reduce their part numbers to one call-out number. It will arrive at your receiving as one part and onto the assembly floor as one easy to attach part. Not have 5 to 25 separate part numbers and components to be assembled.

The above photo shows a Humphrey made special assembly where the media are aggressive liquids in a blood-sampling machine. All surfaces touching the liquid are either plastic or stainless steel.

There are 6 small solenoid valves mounted on a manifold. The manifold drillings and passages greatly reduce the number of fittings and potential leaks, plus reduces the size of the total package.

Rather than taking a large piece of geography in a machine, with much assembly, this customer has one small assembly and few connections.

The photo shows 23 Koganei-Humphrey solenoid valves on 3 manifolds mounted to a small PC Board with traces and connections for controlling the valves. Air porting is in the valve bodies with labels to tell what each valve controls.

The application is for pneumatic controls to control a refinery process. These valves control the flow of the product, flow of reactants and the flush cycles.

The very small package of valves and electrical connectors helped the customer keep the full machine dimensions to a minimum and consolidate many fittings and valves to one footprint.

A TECO Newsletter of a few years ago featured some of the special projects we have sold up to then. Each year we add to our total of satisfied customers receiving a design solution that makes life easier for them and for their assembly people.

We need to remind you to call TECO when you have a need to consolidate your pneumatic or liquid flow paths. TECO will consolidate and use our varied products melding them into one drawing number.

Our team at TECO Pneumatic, along with our factories, is very good at giving you what you want, within your specifications. You will find us very easy to work with, and very satisfying in the end.

Multiple Sections From Pneumadyne

Pneumadyne is an imaginative pneumatic component manufacturer that has a wide selection of various miniature components that fit into many applications. We are showing here a few of their valves, fittings regulators, flow controls and special components.

This photo shows the broad sweep of their miniature valves and fittings.

Pneumadyne has many selections of SHUTTLE VALVES. They are of nickel-plated brass construction. Very low cracking pressure and open quickly to flow.

Pneumadyne has the widest selection of 4-way toggle and push button valves in 10-32 and 1/8 NPT porting. Offering many variations.

Pneumadyne has an even wider selection of 2 & 3-way toggle, push button and air pilot valves. All types of push buttons, including ball operators. Pneumadyne will make a push button actuator to fit your application.

Included with the standard 2 & 3-way valves are many types of RIGHT ANGLE VALVES, made so the ports are at 90 degree angles which can make for much easier assembly and circuitry.

Pneumadyne makes many SPECIAL VALVES and FITTINGS for individual customers to fit their design needs and specifications. Specials can be as simple as fittings attached to valves or special mounting needs or perhaps a completely different machined body.

Specials can be valves with built-in flow controls or with a regulator in the same valve body. Body and internal part materials can be to your specifications to fit your application.

A high percentage of Pneumadyne production goes to special components. If you need a special valve component, call TECO and Pneumadyne.

Pneumadyne Barbed Fittings

Included in Pneumadyne’s great selections are many types and sizes of barbed fittings. Including special fittings to fit one application need.

Most Pneumadyne fittings are nickel plated, making them look like stainless steel. PLUS they do have a full selection of 316 SS barbed fittings.

Included with Pneumadyne fitting selection are banjo type fittings with a minimal height. Some of the shortest, smallest available to fit on those assemblies that you plan to squeeze into your box that is too small. Banjo-type come in right angle, stackable and many selections.

With banjo fittings, insert fittings and other special items that can be used on special manifolds designed for one application, Pneumadyne offers 2 & 3-way CARTRIDGE VALVES. Very easy to machine a body to insert these valves where flow paths are drillings in a manifold and not tubing and fittings. These can also be solenoid valves or the toggle or push button.

Do think of TECO and Pneumadyne when you need a special valve block.

A handy case to have when building prototypes or bread-boarding a circuit is a full Pneumadyne fitting case. It has 14+ types of barbed fittings that should fill most needs. The nice thing about a case is all fittings are in one location that can be carried to the job. The case can even be customized if you need special or different fittings.

TECO Special Assemblies

We showed two assemblies on the front page, one of which was a very special manifold with 6 Valves made by Humphrey at their plant. The second was three valve manifolds mounted on a PC board, all done at TECO.

Shown here is a large GAST REGENAIR REGENERATIVE BLOWER mounted on a special mounting plate, a special fitting in the outlet and with all electrical connected.

This is a simple assembly, but one that allows our customer to receive the blower, mount directly on their machine and plug in electrical. Just 4 bolts are needed for their assembly.

We are showing these specials to give you ideas on how you can give TECO Pneumatic and/or our factories the job of consolidating applications and components.

No matter what the design needed we usually are successful at providing a simplified single design that fits into the space allowed and provides simple assembly at your end.

Think of TECO Pneumatic when you have a need for any pneumatic or automation design. We are here to help. Do call!

Final Thoughts:

TECO Pneumatic will again be in North Hall, Booth 5420 at Semicon West/02 Trade Show at Moscone Centre, on Monday, July 22 through Wednesday, July 24.

We will be showing many new products, some older ones and have many of our factory representatives visiting or manning our booth. If you have questions or applications concerning a particular factory, this would be a good time to ask. Do visit our booth to say hello if you are at Semicon West/02.
